contact Heasoon

Originally Heasoon Arzberger Rhee is from Seoul, Korea. She first learned weaving at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985. She enjoys using silk yarns in her weaving and hand dyes them. She creates her own pattern and maximizing the capability of looms (shafts). Her goal is to design and weave one of a kind piece incorporating unique color combinations and texture.

Recently, she has invested time and energy to practice and hone her skills in Korean knotting—Mae Dup. She wants to combine these two traditions to bring joy and pleasure to everyone. Her award winning work can be found at the Spanish Village in Balboa Park, San Diego and Maple Grove Gallery in Fish Creek, WI.
